First Drive
Went over this morning and topped it off with coolant, oil, PD fluid and set out. We made a lot more progress today, the exhaust is getting welded in today, also a base tune will be put on. The car drove fine...until it came to slowing down. But other then that it all looks good. We did shred a belt so the owner is putting the old pulley off the alternator on. Hope to log 500 miles in the next 18 days...

Looks like it came out awesome! Let us know the final numbers. Any vids of flybys? I'm sure it sounds amazing with the long tubes.
Not yet, the car ran like **** on the break in setup and since we put the return system and the ID1000's the car hasn't been started. If all goes well tomorrow I can try and get a video for you.
Hope all goes well. This is like my dream car. I've always wanted an 03/04 cobra either mystic or comp orange. One day ill get one....looks like this one will be a beast in due time.
Nope, stock iron block and had it built to the needs the owner wanted, custom cams, pistons, rods, micro polished crank, P&P heads, oversize valves, full return style fuel system, ect.

Dyno Time
Well do to the car not having any real amount of miles or WOT hits on the re build or clutch we found a pretty big issue. The car has a ram twin disk that SUCKS incase anyone is curious. We blew through the clutch and it slipped from 2200 till 4200 when it just blew through it. We are on our way to swap out the pivot ball and add a undjusable quadrant. The car made 544 at 4200, tuner said the car is "about" 130hp down and 100 or so in the tourqe range. Still plan on making it to cruise week as the tune is 95% and has fuel and has timing left to be fat on WOT. The car will be back up to have it dialed in 100% after cruise week.

We went to a buddies shop that has lifts so we could drop the trans, had it out in just about a hour. The parts will be here tomorrow so we will head back after work and get it back together.
36 hours till we leave

kinda late now, but get some fender covers, stat! That mystichrome paint is hella expensive to repair if it gets damaged. I've heard of cobra's being totaled just because of the cost of painting them.




Nothing great, but this was a long 23 days getting the car up and running but was also alot of friends. The car has some bugs we need to work out, needs more blower and E85 but we hit our goal. The car is going to get some paint work on the front and rear bumpers plus the rockers. The seats are coming out and getting wrapped up, a 2.9 whipple or F1 are going on. The car won't be 100% for another year or so as the owner wants to enjoy the car some.
