Any chance of seeing it at Cecil county or atco when it's all finished? I want to see it massacre some pesky camaros!

 

Cecil every Friday night in the summer and Atco for track rentals. Our friend builds LSX stuff local and we come and hangout at his track days and I bet we could make some passes. You can find either car at MIR this year also.

Well MV Performace just called and it's all bad news.

Both heads are shot
All but "a few" valves are bent
#3 & 5 pistons have holes
The block is scored and a total loss
The crank has a hairline crack

So, ground zero start...

 

No bueno man! :/

 

Ah, sourced a stock block already, piston and rods(not sure who's), MMR's stage 3 heads, custom cams....

Owner has a credit card that he just payed off so we hope we can get it up by May 14th so it can't make tuning the 15th and right down to the beach with it.

I'll show him that, the trans has a Liberty gearset, hardened synchros as well as a hardened input shaft.

 

It's about that time.! How is the Cobra looking.? No updates in 3 months.! lol

The car is up and running, we are just hitting small issues after small issue now. We have fixed what we think is the last few things.

I saw the post. Quite interesting to see. Sucks that you guys keep getting little snags.

 

We have been down this road a few times, it's not THAT un-common but does get old. I hope tomorrow night we get ever bug worked out once and for all..

The motor is in, k member is in, trans, clutch, DS are done. I have a meeting at 8am so I rolled early, when I left they where re bending the brake lines(to clear the K member), someone else was putting belts, IC, rad. and buttoning up the front end. They plan on working though the night...

Plan is to DRIVE the car tomorrow night. The tunner wants 500-1000 break in miles, the clutch says 500 break in miles so the car needs to get some miles logged. After that we have to add a return set up, ID1000's, N20 set up, and have a tune put on the car.I would assume the return system and N20 will take a day. They got a fire lite under there *** and go work done today. With no set backs we will make OC with a full running car.
