What mod next?

Hey y'all! Well I was just wanting some opinions on what mod to do next? I bought a 02 gt recently, bone stock w/61k miles on it. Since I owned it I have put flowmaster 40s on it,steeda udp's, performance clutch and a jlt rai and a few days ago I put in a mgw sts(which is freaking awesome) well I was thinking a upr catted xpipe or c&l plenum and bbk tb. But will either of these actually give me better performance w/o a tuner? So maybe a sct tuner?

I would get the SCT tuner, really felt a difference when I got mine. If you get it from AM they give free updates for life, great for when you get a new upgrade.

Falco, I wish dude. But it's kinda costly huh? Planes I think that's the direction I'm going to go in man, the one from am.muscle with the bama tuning. It seems like a great deal man especially if I plan on doing more mods that require/suggest a tune.

sct tune. i made almost 20whp and 30tq. granted it was a custom tune, not Bama tuning.

my power mods are, steeda cai, long tube headers, h-pipe w/ high flow cats, 40s flowmasters. tune made a world of a difference.

I have a SCT tuner and have been getting free tunes from Bama Custom Tunes. I just recently had a Typhoon intake and Comp Cams Stage II cams installed. They wouldn't provide me with new tunes since they considered the car heavily modified and recommended having it dyno tuned. May want to think about that before you buy a tuner. I have BBK throttle body/plenum, CAI, shorty headers, Magnaflow X-pipe and catback exhaust, Typhoon intake, stage II cams, and 3.73 gears. Will be taking it in for tuning next week.

Stork can that tuner still be used/loaded by whoever you are going to get your car dyno tuned by? I'd also like to see the numbers

Yes it can. As long as it's not locked. If you return the car to it's stock tune, it is no longer locked and any tune shop can put it's own tune on it.

315 I'm days away from getting another mod and I want a sct tuner, should I get the sct tuner from am muscle with the bama tuning and if I decide to do heavy mods down the road I should be able to unlock the tunes from bama and go get it dyno tuned with the same tuner. I'm pretty sure that the bama tune comes with a option where you can put it back to stock. That should unlock it from what I understand from you.

+1 on Bama because of free tunes for life. Some places will only update your tune if your new mod is from them, but with Bama it doesn't matter where you got that new mod from. I ordered an updated tune yesterday morning and had my new tune by mid afternoon.

Yes it can be, you have 10 uses before it locks to your car. I took my car to a dyno shop that was a SCT certifed dealer. You can find them on SCT's website. The car started with a baseline of 226.59 rwhp and 246.04 rwtq. After tuning ended up with 267.44 rwhp and 280.21 rwtq. I was hoping for higher numbers, but that's what it is. Still a pretty good gain.

Dude that's a real nice gain. 10 uses? What do you mean? 10 tune upgrades? 10 x's that you switch the tunes?

Once you connect it to the car it counts as a use. So you can connect to your cars computer port 10 times before it locks to your vehicle

i never heard of the 10 uses thing? is there an literature on that? when i bought my tuner it had a focus program on it. i used it for my focus. when i sold my focus i forgot to put it back to stock. i had to send my tuner to SCT and they unlocked it for $150. once i did that i brought the tuner to my performance shop and they loaded their own program on it. got me 19whp and 26wtq on a dynojet
