My 2002 GT has red fuel injectors most cars I have seen have yellow injectors. What is the difference in flow? My car has a 5 speed, most of the cars that I have looked at are automatics. Is that the difference? :scratch:

 

That's probably not a bad guess. I don't know the answer but I did check mine and they are red also. ('02 GT 5-speed).

 

hmmm, thats weird, i have a 1995 GT 5-speed and they're yellow. maybe year matters, thats a good question.

 

In ford injectors, color indicates injector size, or flow rate.

"Fuel injectors are color coded. The color of the injector at the electrical connector determines lbs. per hour. 14 lb/hr are Grey, 19 lb/hr are Orange Yellow, 24 lb/hr are Blue, 30 lb/hr are Red, and 36 lb/hr are Dark Blue."

 

It is wierd though that both of your 02 gt's would have red injectors, as I believe they came stock with 19 lb (yellow) injectors.

 

found this if you scroll down says they were upgrade on the 2V 01-04 4.6L seem to be Bosch 22lbers . BUT mine have ford emblum and parts numbers on them
