How much do you weigh, and how much gas do you have in the tank? Also is your car an A4 or M5?
I weigh a hefty 300 lbs and run my car with a 1/4 tank of gas. Best I've ever run was 14 flat @ 99 mph with some drag radials.
Only mods I had on my car at the time were a throttlebody and force II catback from flow master, both of which probably added like 1 hp.
Best I've ever seen a mod car run, bone stock (as in bought and broken in for 500 miles) was 13.7

yeah the amount of gas in your tank makes a big difference. i think a gallon of gas wighs like 6 lbs or something. also where are you located??? what was the weather conditions? id have to say that is a pretty good run. especially if it was your first time to the track and with no mods. the 13.7 was by MM&FF and they seem to get some of the best times no matter what they drive. hoping to take both of mine to dinwiddie here in the next month

My '01 GT ran 13.57@101 at Steele(Gadsden,AL), mods were a C&L mass air, K&N filter, underdrive pullies and Nitto Drag Radials. These cars do not have a loy of torque down low so you have to keep the rpm's up and slip the clutch.

thats a good time. are the nitto drag radials worth the money??? i have never tried them. i need new back tires for my 92 and they have the only drag radial in 245/50/16 i cant go with street tires on it. all they do is spin even with tread

I agree with ua2k1gt on both of his post
Oh I forgot to mention, that dont let your first time out times get you down, it takes a TON of practice to get consistent and good times.

Also, you need to get used to racing with a manual, if you were, I don't know.
Manual is harder to race (obviously) but it's the most fun. You get more pleasure out of getting a good time with it b/c you had to do all the work.

That's about an average time for stock with someone just starting out. I agree, standards/manuals are MUCH more fun to drive AND do wonders at the track. Unless you're going full pro race manuals are superior to autos at the track.
