The only O2 sensers I have ever replaced unscrewed, but I don't know what they will be like on a Toyota Matrix, but I wouldn't get WD40 on the sensor itself.

Typically O2 sensors have anti-seize compound on them. Be sure to put another coat on the threads when you re-install them.

WD is great on all the fasteners, let that soak for a while, especially if you live in a climate that has salted roads.

Air tools are gold, and so is a sawzall if you want to rip the old exhaust out asap

my bad i forget 2 change my profile. i no longer have the toyota. i have an 04 gt 5-spd in torch red. i bought it last saturday. 2marrow i will tackle the exhaust. i dont think it will give me any trouble but maybe the o2 sensors will. i didnt know if wd40 would ruin the sensors or not. if they give me any trouble i will try the torch and put some heat around them 1st.

Just get a big open end wrench to take the o2 sensors out. Shouldnt be hard.

To get the nuts loose from the car, you may need to spray some pb blaster on them. Its a awesome penetrating spray and really helps out. With your car being an 04 though, shouldnt be tough.

well i got it finished. its got a deep tone from the outside. a little louder on the inside than i expected, but not bad. still got a little leak on the driver side where it meets the header. cant figure out why though. im gunna look at it 2day agian. i also put on the mach 1 grille and chin spoiler. wow what a difference. i never been a fan of the factory grille so when i put in the new 1 i loved it.
