Transmission problem?

I have a 2000 ford mustang gt convertible manual transmission 127k, when the car is In neutral it makes a tick tick tick sound, sounds lke it's coming from the transmission but wen I press on the clutch it stops making that sound evn if I tap the pedal. I wasn't really worried about it untill now, when I drive now the transmission makes like a popping popcorn sound, wen I get to 90mph, the sound gets evn worse, louder & it starts smelling bad, in the pedals I feel less power. Wen I turn on my car now, it sounds a lil weak & struggles to turn on, idk if that's related to my current problem but I was wondering if you guys have any input or advice to offer?

first thought was the throw out bearing being bad..... but maybe its time for a new clutch and resurface your flywheel.

I'd say throw out bearing get it and that clutch replaced at the same time. Ford oem TOB only or else it will always make a noise

My bad throw out bearing:

Does the clutch kit come with the throw out bearing? I read somewhere on the stage 3 spec kit that it does come with the bearing but idk if its the same? & also after I replace that, should it be good now at 90 mph without that Nasty popcorn sound?

It does come with the TOB, but it's better to use a factory ford TOB

Its less noisy. I've both a centerforce and FRPP TOB and the Ford one is noticeably quiter. Both will hold up, but the Ford isn't as loud.

I recommend the Valeo Cobra replacement clutch. It's OEM Cobra parts and retains the stock pedal softness (excellent if you drive through those obnoxious "historic" district roads that have potholes and dips every 50 ft like I do at college).
It's pretty cheap for the quality. Spec is known to have sh*t bearings anyways. Same with RAM.
