Throw out bearing????

Is this the throw out bearing? And also I find it hard to get in gear is it because of the bearing?

Yeah man. It's the throw out bearing. Might as well replace the entire clutch kit though. Tranny is gotta come out, replace it while it's down. Use a Ford Racing throw out bearing. Not the one that comes with the clutch kit.

The clutch had less than 1000 i wish I knew how to work on cars or at least had the tool to learn then I'd do this stuff and put the proper stuff into it

Dang that sucks dude. What clutch did you put in it? Order a Ford Racing TOB. Dont use any other one this time? Problem is the labor may cost you $300-500. If you can get it done for under 300 you're getting a good price.

To be honest I have no clue. I got a new fly wheel and I asked for a center forced duel friction and they told me they had something better:/ wish I was a mechanic. This is my 5th clutch

Huh. Yeah sounds like you're pretty rough on a clutch. I would probably take it to a different shop also. Find out what clutch they actually put in it. Mechanics aren't always the most honest fellows. Lol

It's not that I'm rough on them it's just something else break everytime. Once it was the linkage after a day, then the flywheel after a week with a new clutch, and now this. The car has been out of the shop for about a month or so so it hasn't been driven much till this past week. I'll be looking for a better shop around here. Only went to that shop because I was new to the area and they were close

There's something else going on. A failed throw out bearing usually screams/whines. The TO bearing could still be bad but something else is going on with it.

The throw-out bearing should always be replaced with the clutch. If things keep failing either someone is being really rough with it or the work isn't being done right.

When you replace your clutch you need pilot bearing, throw out bearing, resurface flywheel, clutch disc and pressure plate or clutch assembly anyways ask them for a list of parts or ask them what they are replacing if they don't they are pulling shady sh/t a true clutch replacement requires all of the parts listed

Good man you shouldn't people like that give shops a bad name they should be straight up with you and tell you what parts you'll need not try and screw you over like that. And yeah for your clutch I would replace anything I could so you don't have to do it over and over and you learning how isn't a bad thing and since it's out I would even replace the clutch fork so you don't have to later
