throttle body/plenum upgrade

Just curious if anyone has done this upgrade on they're NA 99-04 GT.

Ive read many articles about this upgrade but haven't seen any dyno sheets showing the effect to the A/F ratio after installing these. I realize it will lean out the mixture a bit but am wanting to know how much. Im considering the C&L plenum with a 70mm TB.
Anyone with any personal experiences with this upgrade good or bad?

I put them on my car (see signature), and there is definitely a difference. I put the TB on first and then the plenum a couple months later, so I didnt feel quite as big a jump in power as you would if you put them both on at the same time. I've read in tests where you gain around 8-12 hp with the combination, and I would believe that. They're also pretty easy to install, so you could do the whole installation in 2 hours or less.

I'm thinking of doing tb/plenum in the near future too.

Dan, I'm curious if you have taken your car to the track. just wondering what times you run with those mods.

Unfortunately I dont have any times with the parts installed, but I didnt have a baseline run to campare it to anyway. My car definitely feels stronger though, especially in the mid-to-upper range.

I put the C&L Plenum on my 03 GT without upgrading the throttle body. The gain on the dyno was 10 rwhp. 248 to 259 and an increase in torque too. Very impressed with the mod and would suggest it highly.

Any problems connecting 70mm TB to the CAI? Cant remember but sure the rubber sleeve is not going to fit.

Thats impressive for the plenum alone. Dyno sheets Ive seen didn't show that much for both the plenum/throttle body upgrade.

Nothing that a heat gun and little stretching won't fix.

Although mine was a 98, when I put on a C&L with an Accufab 75MM I could really feel a difference.

I didnt have any problems trying to get the sleeve to fit. The butterfly valve/opening is the part that is larger. The opening where the CAI attaches is more or elss the same size. I'll post a picture of the setup on my car when i get the chance.

One of the first things I did to my car was a FR 70mm Throttle Body and I didn't do a before/after dyno. The last thing I did before installing the Vortech was a Dragon P &P Plenum/Aluminum drive shaft/Tokico 5-ways and Steeda LCA's. I gained 9 rwhp and 12 rwtq and my 1/4 mile went from 14.0x @99 to (5)13.85x's @101 in one day
