One day I hope to greatly improve the power output of the 95 Cobra ( thinking 351/427 ). In the present I need to replace the clutch and possibly the transmission. I was thinking of getting a TKO 600 ( pretty pricey ) or a viper spec T56 ( very pricey ). Yesterday, I was reading 5.0 Mustang (Sept) and came across an ad from Astro Performance for Super T-5 packages. Are these legit? Can they handle the same power levels as the others? After that, I saw Remanufactured T-5's at D & D performance with a "3.35 super alloy gearset" whatever that is and whatever HP/TQ rating it has.

Just looking for others input. I don't have unlimited budgeting so the cheaper this is, the sooner the engine starts, but I want a tranny / clutch combo that will be able to handle future plans.

 

Ive heard of like the g-force t5 kit and its supposed to be a really well built kit for the T-5. I've also heard nothing but great things from teh TKO series. I think if you are going to go all out, go ahead with a TKO as it will defintely handle the abuse. If you are want to save some money now, but may have to worry about it later, check out the rebuild kits.
