Strut brace.

My 96 has a factory strut tower brace. When I do my pi swap the intake will be a bit higher and my intake is already touching the brace with out the swap. will it be ok to eliminate the brace.

Yeah it should be ok. You may want to look into another designed brace that will clear later but it won't hurt anything to do without.

The maximum motorsports brace uses the factory holes on the towers and are high qaulity pieces and great service. I have many of thier parts on my stang. thought I would throw it out there.

Would I be able to use a cobra stb. Isn't the intake a little bigger/taller.

Don't get me wrong having a strut tower brace is a good thing but it's not necessary. Ford actually got rid of it for the 1998 model year to cut costs.
