Stang back in the Barn

Its been long enough. I had to let my 07' GT go last fall so I could afford my health insurance. Then I helped a friend sell his 69' 427 Vette(50K) and received a 94' V-6 Camaro for my sales commission. The Camaro was really nice....but not a Mustang. Then I hit a really really nice progressive jackpot last Friday night.I put the Camaro on Craig's list and sold it Thursday and was in a new-old 98' GT coupe Friday evening.
Its a one owner Rio Red coupe with 90 k miles on it,automatic, leather interior and a factory paint job with some road rash. Sitting in that Camaro wasn't so bad it was just a matter of time when I found the right deal for a nice Mustang. The little coupe was listed at 3K but he took $500.00 for the really bad tires. It needs a drop, wheels and some louder muffs but I really need to find some good tires first.
Its feel good to be back in the saddle again
I spent all day yesterday rubbing out the paint with Meguiars Ultimate Compound. This week I'll get busy with some NXT2

Awesome, congrats!!!

The 96-98 are seriously one of my favorite all time Mustang body styles.

I had a 96' GT in Rio Red before I went to the s-197 but being retired and being on a budget lets me have another chance at driving one of my favorite body styles. I really like this one.

Awesome, love to see pictures. Having an 07 GT, I like the size of the earlier generations.

Wow $2500 what a steal! I see beat up fox bodies sell for more than that. It is amazing how much these cars have dropped in value. I paid $15,000 for a similarly equipped 97 GT back in 2000. I'm liking the rio red one of the best color choices for a 94-98 model for sure!

I'm thinking some staggered 17" SVT anthracite wheels from O.E. for starters.

Thanks everyone for the welcome back!

This car was off the beaten path, about 50 miles s.e. of Denver way out in the toolies. Then 10 miles of dirt road to get to it.It was worth the dust, mud and washboard road to get to it.The paint looks way better in the pics,it has a few cat scratches and some rock chips.I can live with the imperfections for now.The engine is one smooth running 2-v.
