SONIC BLUE
Hey. I've been out of the country for several years, but I have a brand new SONIC BLUE 04 MUSTANG GT DELUXE 5 SPEED ordered and ready for pickup in mid September. The out the door price before tax is $19300 with Charcoal leather being the only added option. I just wanted to know if you guys think thats a good price for the car. How much are they usually selling for? Also on the SONIC BLUE. What color is it? I see colors ranging from a dark grape too a pastell lavender on the internet. Like I say, I have been out of the U.S. for a while and I have never seen the color, and the internet perception of colors can sometimes lie. I am hoping that it is close to the ROUSH 380R that there is a picture of on the 2004 model pages, because that's why I decided on the color. I check this site out a lot, and you guys are MANIACS about the car, so I can respect your opinion as experts. Thanks in advance for your help.

Sonic Blue has a different shade depending on the light. I saw one yesterday that was absolutely purple, but others that are a brilliant blue. Here are some photos:

Here it is on the '05:

After building one online and taking off the rebate amount, you still got a better deal. I went through Military Auto Sales and had them build one and give me Fords Rebate and the Military Rebate on top of that and it was still over $20K. I think you'll be happy. Great Color by the way.
I'm going thru Aafes too. I'm in Japan. They quoted me a pre-order of $25,300 on a 2005 Mustang GT Deluxe with leather and a 5 speed. That price is based on an incremental step up off of the '04 prices, but they seemed to think that when the official pricing was released that the car itself would cost a little less than that. The thing is that there haven't been any rebates announced yet, and I don't want to screw up a good deal on the '04 by switching deals and end up with an '05 with no rebates. That's about $6,500 difference by the time you added in the interior upgrade package.
