So i got an interesting problem

So when I push my clutch and brake pedal in at the same time, my car dies. It's pretty rare but has been happening more frequently lately. The most likely solution is that re brake booster just creates enough vacuum to kill it, bit I figured I'd ask to see if anybody has a clue what's happening

I would check for a vacum leak first. But I'm just guessing

Your brake booster might be bad. How's the idle sound and at what rpm?

This is a gt right? That means hydro boost not vacuum. This either means that there is a problem involving power steering pump and the pressure its feeding the brake booster or you have a problem with the motor not jumping up rpms with load on the motor. Turn the AC on and see if it dies. If it does check the IAC. Also check for intake leaks, or vacuum leaks- though not as likely. Clean the MAF and do fuel filter just to be safe and general maintenance anyway

Its a 2000 GT. I just put in a new fuel filter 2 weeks ago, I'm thinking it's the IAC. I have a K&N cold air intake so it's possible. My car only has 64k miles so I'm kinda hoping it's nothing major yet

The idle will slowly fluctuate if it's sitting for a while. Usually from 400-900. It'll only do that if it's sitting over five minutes.

That's what the 3 most experienced guys (the least of which has 26 years of experience) at work were thinking. I just haven't had the the time to take a look at it
