Does anyone have Loudmouths on any V8?
I want them to be loud, which I'm sure I'll get with them.
Any reviews?

My friend has an '03 Cobra with just the SLP catback and stock midpipe, it sounds real mean and raw. At idle it's got a nice burbly lope sound almost like it has cams and under accelleration it just sounds pissed and loud.

On a vert? It might not be the best of ideas.

I like LOUD Mustangs verts or not. But you are right. That would be something for him to think about. The loud exhaust wouldn't be good when cruising or when using the car for basic transit.

Borla Stinger would be a good alternative to consider. It's somewhere between the FlowMasters and Magnaflows with a husky-throatie sound and no drone.

I want the ballsiest sound around, and I'm thinking that a non-catted x will help a lot with any catback
am I correct?

Yes. Offroad pipes would eliminate the restrictions and provide a natural free flowing sound although it sounds as if your main personal application is not the drag strip.

The main factor still is, there is a difference between the coupe and the vert. The catback will provide the exact sound on both, the difference is that on the coupe the driver and passengers are insulated, with the vert they are not. With the top down the sound can be less than pleasant.

Your best bet is to seek opinions from those with verts.
