Don't sell your kill short over the stats
You probably know the numbers above are peak HP and acceleration times generated by dropping the clutch (or auto shifter) at redline, which often doesn't come up on the street.
Unfortunately, the car rags often omit the "street start" times which are a little more realistic sometimes.
I had a girlfriend with a Mercedes SLK 2.3 with the supercharger, who was always bugging me to race her in my '95 convertible 5.0
On paper, they both had around a 7 second 0-60 time.
I was thinking "Small, light, $40K car with almost 200 (peak) hp against old, heavy cheap car with about 215hp" and was fully prepared to lose.
What I should have been thinking was, "Car with automatic transmission and no torque at low RPM an against 5.0 with 300 ft lbs, 3.55 gears and 5 speed"
Light turns green, I go sideways for a second then hook up.
I turned to see how close it was, expecting maybe to have half a length on her, and she just wasn't there
She was not happy.

omg, that is sad considering you have a 5.0 and a mach if she dropped the clutch fast with a little rpm it would smoke the tires, lol
Thats funny stuff, my mom hated my dads 86, because it would smolder the tires int he rain with little gas, lol
