For the past two months my SES light has been intermittently going off. I am thinking that it has to do with my exhaust set up. However, I have not had any problems with the SES going off since I have had the set-up (3yrs). My question is: How can I decipher the code without paying the Ford dealership $80 to tell me what's wrong. I read a thread on the corral about some guy going to Autozone and checking the SES. Any advice? By the way, I installed MIL's when I first got the Bassani X-pipe.

go to Auto Zone and get them to scan the codes. Then post the codes on corral or SN and find out what they mean. It very well could be your MIL Elims have gone bad or just lost connection, that happened to me. or it could be something else.

I can tell what the Hayne's Repair Manual says the code is for when you post it.

Thank you gentlemen. However, how the heck do I get them to scan the codes at Autozone? Do I have to purchase something? I can only hear the guy at Autozone saying, "Sorry but we don't so that here." Please help. Thanks for your help.

Just go up, tell em that your check engine light is on and that you wanted to see if they can pull the codes for you. They will give you code numbers (example: P1114) or something like that. Bring that back to us, we might can answer the question or you may can post it on stangnet, corral or modulardepot in which i'm 100% sure you will get an answer. (maybe through just doing a search on the particular code)

i have heard a lot of Auto Zones have stopped checking codes for people, but the one I go to still does it. Just don't do it while they are really busy (mine is open 24 hours and always busy), and hopefully they will have you squared away

Greensprings. From your direction its past the Greensprings and Oxmoore intersection, on the left and next to an AmSouth branch.
