If ya got a lift, use it I personally hate crawling on my back under a car to do anything.

What setup did you get?

Nothing really to offer from this camp...when a friend and I installed mine, it was pretty straightforward. Only hang-up we had was the passenger side over-the-axle pipe. Had a heck of a time getting it to go over the axle, then once it did, we had to sort of wiggle it around to get it away from the fuel tank (initially, there was only about 1/4" of clearance between the pipe and the edge of the tank...got it far enough away though).

Like Scott said too...if you've got access to a lift, use it!

And, if you have the Bassani aft-cat, slip the clamps over the pipe BEFORE you put the pipes in place. LOL.

Yeah if the car has ABS and TC, be careful if your using a sawsall to cut the pipes, I managed to nick the RR brakeline and conventional bleeding doesn't work on the brakes.

Is it necessary to cut the pipes to take the stock setup out?

Yes,ya gotta cut the stock pipes to get em out unless you want to drop the axle...you really don't want to do that. Just sawzall the pipe just behind the muffler before it turns upward.

with a lift and the right tools, you could get em out without cutting. Take the rear tires off and also remove the upper control arms (do one side at a time or its a PITA to get the rear end lined back up). At that point you should be able to get it out much easier.

If it's for a cobra you shouldn't have to cut anything. I'm putting the same system on mine next week also. and the only thing that i've heard about the install is that you might have to adust some of the hangers to get the tailpipes to line up right. since you have the IRS there is no bend up after the mufflers.

On your Cobra, you shouldn't have to cut anything. If it were for your Bullitt though, you would've either had to use a sawzall, or drop the axle.

Lining the tailpipes up will be kinda tricky. Best to have a helper for that...one of you line it up, and the other look at the rear and tell the other where to go with the pipe.

When i did my Borla's my car had 2500 miles on it so everything was stiff, On a cobra I recommend using dish soap slide hangers in mounts if need be, I also took off the very rear muffler hangars while installing, this helped to line the pipes up prefectly even on both sides (but you don't have to) Like i said my car was new so there wasen't as much play in the rubber hangars--all in all with a lift it is totally easy--good luck
