School me on 2003/04 Cobra

Member here for a few months now I have a 2013 GT and my inspiration for buying it was the old timer that lives across the street from my parents he has a 2003/04 Mustang Cobra and he let me drive it once when it was new and that did it I wanted a Mustang from then on. This Cobra owner rairly takes it out of his garage maybe twice each summer it could pass for new. Anyway to my point I don't know much about the 2003/4Cobra I say 2003/04 as I'm not sure exactly what year this guys car is. It looks supercharged is it? Also the heads look much larger then the usual 4.6 heads was this a 4 cam engine? What kind of power did they make from the factory? We're they a strong motor for mods? Anyway just wondering as I don't know much about the car. By the way I hope he sells it someday he told me I would be the first in line.

From: That town you drive through to get to Myrtle Beach
The Cobra earned it's nickname of "Terminator" for a reason. If you can get your hands on an unmolested one, you should get it, but expect to pay quite a pretty penny for it.

It's a 4v Dual Overhead Cam motor. It came factory with a supercharger and 390hp, but a simple pulley swap and retune will have you well into the 400hp figures. A few more mods, and the car can stare 600+hp in the face.

Yes, they are well received because they are easily modded to ridiculous levels. Also they were IRS as well.

I test drove one and wouldn't mind having one but I have to say I didn't care for the fit and finish. Today's Mustangs are a lot more refined.
