RPMs randomly dropped?

I don't know if I have a problem or not but my car did something weird 3 times within the last 2 days. Ill be driving and randomly the RPMs drop to zero, I lose power and then go back to where they were before and the power comes back. I have no clue what's up with it but I thought it was worth asking.

Does it happen while sitting at idle or while driving and what driving conditions?

So far it's happened only when driving, and at 50mph, 65mph, 80mph

K&N will not cause your check engine light to come on. Check for vacuum leaks, tps, throttle bypass valve(iac), fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator.

If you improperly oil the k&n filters (over oil them) it cause cause the mad to malfunction cause the oil will coat the sensor. Do any of your buddies have the same year make model?
