I was woundering how hard/easy it is to install a Stage 3 Roush body kit on a 99 Mustang GT. Also i want to know about the side exgust. I want to do it on my own and need to know what I'm getting into.

I had them painted off the car. It would be a lot easier. There are parts of the side skirts that go way under the car and clip to the stock holes where the stock skirts go. Also some of the side skirt goes inside the car. Just cant see it being painted well all masked off. Much eaiser painted off the car. The overall install can be tricky and the Roush Instructions are pretty crappy. The side skirts are direct replacements of the stock ones, so they are not too bad besides taking your tires off for drilling. The front Fascia requires the whole front end to come off including lights. The rear clips that cover the exhaust cut outs can be tricky because you need to drill straight into the front of the stock bumper to install them. The 4 Piece Spoiler had the best directions and also use the stock spoiler drill holes for install which made it some what easy. The spoiler requires 4 additional holes you need to drill out for the extra inner post. I was no expert and installed all pieces alone in my garage. I would highly recommend doing this with a freind though. Let me know if you have any questions.

-You are getting yourself into a bit of a jam with a self install on the exhaust There are only a few mufflers out there for side exhaust on our cars. Spintech, Flowmaster, Dynomax and stock Roush's having Magnaflows. I have Dynomax and they are very quiet. Was mad when I heard them first but I may switch them out when im done modding the Cobra. The Exhaust Shop had never seen a setup like mine and I pretty much had to show him exactly what I needed. There is a lot of bending required and a number of hits and misses. If I had the money at the time I would have just bought the Roush Exhuast Kit. Since I did not, my setup is completly custom.

TikiStang...I have a question?

Did you do a full Roush conversion or just the body kit? My dad's been suggesting for the last week or so that I do a Stage 1 conversion on my six and I'm actually liking the idea as more days go by. I might have to look into it as I've always loved the appeal of Roushes, except I might go with the Stage 3 front though.

got the pieces over the course of a few months. I never really added it up because I am afraid to, but guessing over $2500 total, parts paint and so on.

Lol...2500 is not that bad considering you put a lot of effort into it and you did most of the work I assume. If I decide to do it mine will probably cost a little more though because I'm going to get the Stage 3 kit and I will also have the entire car repainted.

You got your stuff through Stage 3 Motorsports right?

yeah stage 3 motorsports is awesome free shipping. There is a lot of pictures of my car on the site except the stage 3 fascia pics. I have a Full Stage 3 kit. The only part that is not stage 3 is my front fascia.

Man, that stage 3 kit is looking better the more I look at it.

Too bad it'll be at least another year till I do the conversion, IF I decide to do it. I'm just another broke @zz college student trying to get somewhere in life.

Again, your car looks amazing in those pics at their site.
