Rotors

My shop is telling me that the wheel shake that I have been having in my 04 GT is due to my rotors being warped. They resurfaced front rotors, problem went away for a short period however its back. Anybody ever have wheel shake problem due to bad rotors ?

Warped rotors should only cause shaking when the brakes are applied.

I always thought that if the rotors were warped, that you had to get new rotors. That you can't just fix it by resurfacing, because the whole disc through and through gets warped together, but I could have been misinformed.

I suppose its possible. I also believe if you get your rotors turned they should be good as new only a little thinner. Whether they were warped or not!

Your problem could very well be due to a warped wheel the cobra R's I had on my car balanced right every time I bought tires but I had a steady shake between 50-60 mph and it would come back around 90 I swapped wheels with a buddy and the shaking went away completely even if your wheels are new they could have been dropped when they were packaged or during shipping and that could very well have warped one of them rotate your tires and see if the shaking moves from the front to rear or rear to front I was looking for a reason to get rid of the R's anyway and that was the perfect reason now I have saleens and the car looks much better

I have never heard of that, no, but anything is possible. I'd just go through and make sure that everything in that area is tightened to spec. One time I found a bolt to one of my brake components so loose that I could tighten it all the way in with my fingers. I haven't had any problems since, but it does happen sometimes.
