Not to be a ball buster, but an Evo is respectable. A guy who buys a Lancer Evo isn't a ricer, but a guy who knows speed. A guy who buys a 4dr automatic basemodel Civic, and tries to race that........is a ricer.

A turbocharged V4 that can compete with a supercharged V8, enough said.

I loved the poem, in MM&FF, and that alone caused me to buy the issue.

The term rice is thrown around too much nowdays. Given the ricers are annoying, but the "Wedding Guests"(guys who throw rice around all day) are getting more annoying.

Just remember more and more American companies are making their cars look like imports. Focus and SVT Focus hatchback, the Cavelier was axed for the Cobalt.....a Civic wannabe with a HUGE wing. Nowadays you can open an import mag and they started selling parts for some domestic sedans and coupes.

Once again......not being a ball buster, or trying to bust the balloon, but just clarifying. Even still, I'll be making copies of that poem it was a classic.

an evo is an I-4, not a V configuration, and the only way an evo will run with the cobra's supercharged 4v 4.6 is with 30 pounds of boost.

the boxer engine found on subaru and porsche is horizontally opposed, not V, I actually can't think of any engines with 4 cylinders that are in a V configuration.

It helps that Evos and WRXs are all AWD. It helps... A LOT.

Shockingly enough, i saw a race out on the blvd with a RSX vs. a WRX and the WRX won. it was blue and ran 12.9s. the point of the story is that it pulled up wicked high, and sounded retarded when it shifted. like a squeak when it shifted.

I know I'll probably get smacked by you when I say this, but only cause I allow you to. RSXs are front wheel drive and that squeak from the WRX was it's Blow Off Valve (BOV) as PearBear stated. Maybe I'm reading your post wrong

the WRX is the one that pulled up real high. the RSX was low. The noise was not a whoosh it was a sqauwk like noise.
