My first quick answer would be no. I think the Mach 1 has an aluminum block vs the iron block the Termi has. I don't know the specs, but when some one here with more technical knowledge chimes in, we should see that there are many differeces between them.

Pretty much the same except the rods and pistons are Hyperpathetic. I think the 5 speed has a forged crank and the auto has a cast crank.

Tacbear is exactly right. Same head design, maybe a slightly different cam profile, and of course the lack of eaton m112 blower. The 5-speed did have a forged crank. lowblu is right, they did have a cast iron block in the 03/04.

So both have the cast iron block?

Machs and Cobras share . .

Heads
Cams
Forged Crank (Manual Mach's)

Mach as aluminum block, Cobra has Iron. Cobra has forged internals, Machs don't (except for Crank on manuals.)

OK. Thanks all for the input! I couldn't believe all the conflicting articles on-line by the "big" car mags......

There is a Mach for sale locally that has caught my eye. Don't know why I need it, but it's like a friggin' disease!!

One of my best friends has an 04' Mach1, I gotta say its a great car and an awesome value. Not as fast as a Cobra but it is the better bang for the buck in my opinion!

Actually, with the right parts, it can be considerably faster than a Cobra LOL!

You are correct. The only true downside of the engine in my opinion (besides weight.)
