Wonder if its 240 cfm on a standard mod bore? A big bore motor could pick up a nice amount of flow and combined with a full on race effort might just flow in the 300+ cfm area.

In any event I'd dearly love to see a big bore 5.0 with these heads, some seriouys comperssion, big headers and that Edelbrock single plane on the test stand.

yeah, you just need spacers to fit the intake manifold, since the 5.4 intake manifolds are crap.

I agree your right, it's too bad that the 96-98 cars have so little aftermarket go fast parts. Most people don't even bother modding these and just turn around and buy a 99-04 GT.

Think about it how many quick, clean 96-98 GTs do you see these days? Maybe it's just me because I have a soft spot for these cars, but I think these cars could really stand out from the 99-09 pack.

i wonder the specs on em out of the box.
the dss heads i have in my car come straight from dss with 50cc vs the trick flow 44cc so you may still have to spend more money on the trick flow once you get them

Nah, I have a feeling it would be cheaper to sell it and buy an 05' GT. I love this car but it is getting harder and harder to justify keeping a gas guzzler than will get it's doors blown off by my girlfriend's V6 Accord!

Perhaps put it in storage indefinently and drop a terminator motor in it in a couple years (I want a sleeper look)

i know that feeling. My cobra II is going to be nowhere NEAR as fast as the bullitt or most modern cars when it's done, even with EFI...

hell, i feel bad about the gas guzzling in the bullitt, which (at 20mpg city/hwy combined) isn't even that bad. darn those three valves and their epic MPG!!!! they're making us all jealous

It's funny my modded Cobra has about the same MPGs as my stock (except a Borla cat-back) 97' GT... 20MPG combined. I guess that extra gear on the highway helps out!
