hi i need to tap into a 12volt source that is only on when the ignition is on any ideas ive tried the cig lighters and stereo feeds but they are all constant lives can anyone help?

Nope on the instrument cluster. I am pretty sure your car has a convertible top harness in it that is only on when the power switch is on. You'll have to pull part of the center console out, like the storage bin between the seats. You'll find a harness up in there by the parking brake mechanisms that isnt being used. Its put in all sn95 cars (94-04) as far as i know and is there for the vert switch. its a strong 12v power wire and perfect for running things off it. Alot of people rewire their fog lights off of it.
