PCV Line...

On the PCV line there is two rubber grommets and I was just wondering if anyone has changed them due to cracks... I went to auto zone and said I should get ones from dealer cuz they are special grommets? Is this true or are they being dumb...

Here is the hose that is all crack, the one that connects to the PCV also needs replacement.

So you can see where it's at. Its the opposite side of the PCV line.

For stuff like that, I wouldn't say the parts guy is being dumb. I would go to a dealership, tell them what you need and they should have it. There are a lot of things that aren't universal (like most parts stores sell) and the dealerships will usually have.

That's pretty common wear on those. They tended to deteriorate from the fuel vapors. The 2 Assemblies will run you about $45.00 at the local dealer and will include a new PCV Valve.

If your plastic lines are ok and valve is still in good shape you can replace just the Rubber Lines. Just need to be carefull not to have a kink in the elbow hose. If you cut it a bit longer and reroute a bit you can avoid this.

Make sure the hose you need is not two sizes as sometimes this is the case. That is a larger Size on one end of the hose vs the other.

Just an FYI
