PCV

So I'm having all sorts of trouble finding a decent size of tube that is strout enough to go from the PCV at the back of the lower intake to the back of the upper without squeezing closed and making an irritating noise.

My question is- What does it do? I heard that it only really matters with high compression cars. Can I just cap it? Is there anything wrong with capping it?

I know that replacing the PCV Valve in truck really smoothed out the idle, so I wouldn't advise capping it off...
