Nitrous ;)

So I know people have mixed feelings about nitrous... But I think it sounds quite fun. I have a 2003 Mach 1 with the stock Automatic Overdrive Transmission and was wondering if anyone knows if it can handle NOS?

Sure can . . . up to a certain point (~100 shot without any issues.)

You thinking of a wet or dry shot and planning on getting a tune or just running stock tune?

Multiple threads on M1R about nitrous as well . . . . http://www.mach1registry.org/forums/...archid=4091300

With nitrous you are not going to be able to run a stock tune. Nitrous cool the air so its more dense so you are going to have to compensate by adding fuel. You will need a hand held tuner or piggy back system. I recommend a wet system. With a throttle body plate type nozzle.

Nitrous is definitely a great modification and power adder! Nothing like adding 75-100+ Horsepower for a few hundred bucks huh?

ZEX's Wet Injected Nitrous system uses patented "Active Fuel Control" that automatically adjusts nitrous fuel enrichment with bottle pressure. The result is that your engine never runs too rich or too lean, preventing engine damage. Unlike other less expensive systems, the ZEX "Wet" nitrous systems activate at wide-open throttle using advanced electronics that monitor your engine's throttle position sensor voltage to ensure activation at precisely the right time. This makes using your nitrous system very easy and reliable.

You can't run the stock tune with Nitrous. However we can tune for up to a 100 shot! Give the Bama team a call and they can answer any questions you may have. Our Bama Performance tuning specialists are here in the building Monday-Friday from 9AM-5:30PM EST and Saturday 9AM-5:30PM EST. You can hit them up directly at 888.226.9764 and they'll get you squared away!
