Cool new to the mustang world please help

Hey everyone I just bought a 95 mustang 5.0 5 speed. My first time owning one. I'm being told by the guy that I bought it from that its a cobra clone. Completely stock exept for cold air intake. When driving the rpm's stay right were they are when I push in the clutch to shift or come to a stop and take what seems forever for them to drop. Anything I can do to change this or should I just quit being a cry baby and deal with it? Lol

Good answers, I would also look for a vacuum leak.
