Howdy,
I'm a new around here and I just wanted to say hello. I have just purchased my latest Mustang a gorgeous 1999 Black official 35th anniversary GT . This is my third one. I had an 86 4 cyl. LX, and a beautiful 1987 GT (traded in for the new one).

I was sad to see my old car go but my wife and I love this one even more. We want to keep the mileage low (only has 44k on it now) and keep it as a collectible since so few were made. I might want to put some mods on it who knows. Anyone got any ideas? I always thought the mach 1 chin spoilers looked neat . Through some ideas out for me. Well see you guys around!

Thanks,
Andy

hey, congrats on your new car...im sure your fox was awesome but the 35th GT is just plain beautiful. as for the mods...mach1 chin spoilers are sweet on 99+gt's, i love em so much i put 1 on my 95 and it looks awesome. it changes the look of the car but its so subtle, perfect if your not into fancy/loud body kits. maybe you could add your usual exhaust bolt ons give it a nice growl and then take it from there
congrats agian

Thanks!!! I see a lot of people enjoy the Mach 1 chin spoilers. How difficult was yours to install? I was looking at one from 5.0 resto. It was 60 bucks including mounting hardware. I want to do some performance mods down the road but I really don't have the money yet. The wife and I are buying a house soon so all of our money will be going into that. I insisted I had to have a garage. Thanks again for the welcome!

The chin spoiler is pretty easy to install, it took me about 20 minutes or so on my 03. It helps if you have a way to raise the front end, I happen to have a fairly steep incline on my driveway so I just backed the car out of the garage until the front wheels cleared the level part of the garage. That left me plenty of room to work without having to jack the car up. Here's a link to a site where someone installed a Mach chin spoiler on their Bullitt....it's well written and illustrated, I found it very useful when installing my spoiler... http://www.bullittarchive.com/Mods/chin/ . The chin spoiler is one of my favorite mods and I *love* the way it makes my '03 look. As far as price goes I think I paid about 60 for mine, shipped. You may can find a little better price but that's not bad. It should look amazing on a black GT! Here's a picture of mine installed:

no pics yet. I want to get some done as soon as possible. She needs washed right now since its been three weeks since a dry weekend. I will be sure to post them as soon as possible so all can see. Yeah I love the silver accents too. Thats what swayed me to buy her and trade in my old stang.

That is one sweet Bullit you've got norm. I would love to have either one of those (highland green) or a black or azure blue Mach 1.
