New guy here with a few questions

Hello I am new here. I bought a 95 mustang gt convertible bout a yr ago now. I hardly drive maybe 500 miles in last yr.

This is it. It's deep forest green and has the gold package if there is such a thing. Has gold horse in grill and gold pinstripe. Also I think it has the cobra rims not sure. First question is the odometer and the trip meter don't work. Any reasons why and how to fix. Is it easy or hard. Next question it has the Mach stereo in it where can I find the tweeters that go on the door on the upper corner how hard to replace. One is blown. Finally question was there a gold package for this car. I did ask on another thread I had but that was just for the plugs I've got that fixed now. Also now I gotta replace the altenator is that very difficult. I have done repairs and such but in my truck. That is my DD. F-150. Havent worked on mustangs before this is my first one. I got it because of having the 5.0. Any help is greatly appreciated and thanks in advanced. I will post more questio s if I think of anymore. Which I am sure will happen lolol.

Look at the door tag inside the driver side door.

Where it says AX on the far right bottom it will say 1 of the following 3 letters. M,Z and E.

M=2.73
Z=3.08
E=3.27

From the pic the wheels look like the '95 Cobra wheel. The gold package was something done by dealers for promotion, never heard of an actual factory package.

The speedo and odometer work together, you probably have a worn out drive gear. They are plastic and are known for breaking. Here's a link to a new one.

You have to take apart the dash, but it's actually very easy.

Kit-Depends on what all you want to change. Just springs there is alot of options; Steeda, Roush, Eibach, Ford Racing.

Difficulty really just depends on how mechanically skilled you are. It's really not that hard as long as you have a jack, jackstands, and basic tools. Even better if you have access to a lift.

speakers are pretty easy to replace for sure. The alt is a little more work but still not to bad for a do it yourselfer. After removing the belt its just a couple of nuts and bolts. I think gears would wake your car up nicely. As far as adding more power it can get expensive quickly. Maybe just save up for a supercharger.

The wheels on that car are from a "New Edge" SN95 V6.

As for "Mods" IMHO the first thing I would add to that 5.0 would be an exhaust. ----opps just saw that you said you did that.

Lowering springs on those SN95's are pretty easy to do, so those and upgraded shocks with a nice set of 18" wheels and tires would really get it handling well and lookding sweet.
