New 96'GT project

After trying out a V-6 convert I lucked out and found a fairly decent 96' 4.6 GT. I didn't mind the 2000 3.8 in fact I would recommend a V-6 Mustang to any one.Performance was really good.
I have some issues with headlights, mirrors and minor body part on the 96' but parts are available so making the rio red Stang shouldn't take that long to make a decent driver. I'm really happy to have found this running project.I'll post pic when its daylight. Fortunately it came with some nice 2000 17 wheels and the interior is really good except the driver seat which need to be replaced due to some fabric tears.
The 4.6 is still stock without any cold air kit or upgraded engine mods.I'm sure I'll make adjustments after I fix the front headlights and door mirrors.

Keep us posted I'm trying to sell my stock 97 GT that I may turn into a project car if I don't get an offer I find acceptable. I know the aftermarket has finally began to become affordable on these. What are your performance goals? What kind of budget do you plan on having?

Check out latemodelrestoration.com for new upholstery. You might not need to replace your whole seat. They also have a 5% discount code on here...

I'm just going to keep it stock for now and concentrate on the little stuff like a left hand door mirror, front bumper cover and all new light fixtures (Certifit). I found a complete front clip same color for $250.00 which I felt was a great deal. I also purchased new struts and rear shocks, nothing fancy but better that whats on there. I'm looking for a rear bumper cover next.I have had some nice Mustangs but I keep coming back to the sn-197...my favorite. I found this 96'GT for 1600.00 and I felt the drive train and overall frame work was worth it. The glass is good, and the interior is great except for the driver seat. I drove the GT to Colorado Springs today for a shake down and was happy with the handling and comfort level.Man am I happy.
Thanks for the info!
