Needing help

Ok so I have yet another problem with my car. When I first start driving it down the highway the coolant temp is at normal but 5 miles down the road it jumps all the way to the top of the normal range. Doesnt overheat just runs hot and when I slow back down the temp also goes down. I flushed the radiator out last weekend and it didnt help

T-stat sticking? I was actually having a similar problem. It was my intake manifold leaking out coolant under power, so I just bought a new one and it is being fixed as we speak yay!

I just had the intake manifold replaced and went ahead and changed the t stat too, I don't think it was sticking or anything, but thought I might as well do it while I have it off. I went with the one from napa not sure exactly which one it was, I know it was the most expensive one napa carried with the seal. Yeah,, that's how mine started was just a little crack. Then obviously it got worse over time, to the point it would be like a white rain drops on the top of the engine. I knew it was coolant by the way it smelled , it only " rushed" out when I was over 3.5k on the tach. So I basically drove like a granny every where till I got it fixed.

If I was you I would get that replaced asap. The FRPP from AM is 169.99 , don't forget to but the gasket( not included) I only bought the lower which was 31 from advance for the fel pro.

eBay has the dorman brand intake for 169-180 with the gasket but I wanted the ford OEM product.

Edit: oh and might as well do a coolant flush, with it running hot like that it's bound to be crud burring off the radiator and flowing around inside there too
