Need help with a gt

There's a 01-04 gt that's just sitting on the side of the road I offered to buy the people that own the shop said the guy will most likely sell it. It's wrecked in the front the rear bumper and side scoops are loose the windshield is cracked it has blown head gaskets and some of the under hood components like radiator tank and power steering is messed up. The front bumper support is smashed up a bit. The interior is a little dirty black interior. Car definitely needs a lot of work. How much should I offer I say 1000 max and 500 bc it doesn't run. What should I offer?

A lot of those parts you could probably find at a hunt yard. I'd offer 500 at most. It will cost you a lot to fix. A salvage title reduces the cars value to about 3500-4000 fixed. The head gasket will be expensive to fix if you don't do it by yourself. Probably like 1200 at a reputable shop. Front bumper will probably cost around 300-400. Add anything else on top of that. So your looking at 1600 to fix just the bumper and engine. Then the other stuff you were talking about being broken.

500 for the car + 1600 for the repairs + 500-1000 whatever else it needs(add unexpected problems you don't know how long it sat there) you could be looking at about 3100 total to get it on the road. Are the airbags deployed? If so your looking at a lot more money in repairs. Is the frame bent? There are just so many things this car might need.

Personally I'd say pass on this deal. Unless you think you can fix it yourself

Just the frame on the front bumper is messed up. No air bags deployed looks like it was used for just transportation not cared for. Just driven even the oil was milky

The man said he has a lot tied in that car. Which I think is bs. Because its been sitting there and nothing has been done to it. It just sits there I told him ill offer no more than 500. He said he will keep me In mind if he just decides he doesn't want it. Makes me mad. Because I know it's just going to sit there.

I know how ya feel. I found a 88 fox 5.0 in a ditch just rusting and I offered the owner 500 for it and he rejected. It was sitting in a ditch on the side of the road. And has been for about 3 or 4 years.

There's a red 03/04 Cobra convertible at a shop around 4 miles from my house. I stopped by one time and asked if he was planning on selling it and he said the guy who owned it was in jail. It's been sitting in the same spot for around 6 months, no cover or anything. It's sad to see such a nice car sitting out in the weather.
