31 mpg highway, i avg 20.5 mpg driving it around town with a heavy foot, incould easily make 475hp with a $5k vortech system, i pad 20k for the car, and i can STILL do massive burnout. Im very happy with this car. The main thing i miss from my old gt is the sound. I had borla stingers and ot made me everytime i started it up and floored it.
Im still VERY happy with the sixxer, savin me money with gas and i still get the same amout of smiles per gallon(:
Plus the ladies like the newer car more

This is a hard choice!! Just figure out what you want more. I can understand since you already have an '04, the Cobra is something use always wanted... BUT that 2011 is close in price and its a "new" mustang. Given the two cars as they are, I would pick the Cobra. here is why.
Its a Vert, redfire looks great on Cobras, Nav?....and did I mention it was a Cobra? However, i wish it did have the stock wheels on it.
The 2011 isn't a color I would choose if I were going to buy one, (not GT Premium?) I don't like the wheels, no HIDs, its more money than the Cobra.

The 11gt truly is a better car. The cobra is a cooler car. So it's up to your preference. Both are great. Drive both and decide. Completely different driving experiences.

The only disappointment will be when you have to repair it. It's a costly vehicle to repair. And I'm thinking that the 11 GT will still have warranty or at least an extended warranty option. Just something else to think about. We do need more cobra owners on this site though.

That being said I think the 5.0 is the better overall car as is in stock trim. The 5.0 is more comfortable and livable for a daily driver (the Cobra's clutch is a leg press) The 11GT also has a superior chassis and stock for stock about the same power. The Cobra on the other hand is more unique and will probably hold it's value better over time...it's value has pretty much bottomed out it shouldn't drop much more as it gets older while the 11GT should plunge in value as the 5.0 cars become more common. just my .02

Another thing to consider because it is older tech you don't need to reflash the tune after every mod. My Cobra has a throttle body, tune, pulley swap and cat back exhaust and i'm making 447rwhp.... Also from the issues on the tranny and #8 cylinder I would avoid modding the for a while. The 03-04 Cobras have a proven track record for being very durable cars. As far as cost of repair they should be close to equal considering the high tech stuff the 5.0 has.

Yeah I see your point. Cheap to gain some decent numbers. Some parts are a little more pricey. (exhaust system, blower upgrade with fuel upgrade, suspension which is unique to the cobra). But yeah, extra 150 horses can be done fairly inexpensively. Pulley, cai, tune, exhaust. Plus I believe a steggy blower port job upgrade is only about a grand.

I remember back in the day how cheap it was for my brother to mod his 87 5.0 back in the day... The gains were smaller but it seemed a lot cheaper to do back then
