Since it is my daily driver, 4.30's may be a little much. And unfortunately California is weetoddedd about smog so cats are a must. But a tune is probably going to be the first thing I get as soon as I get some money saved up again.

Don't go lower then 4.10's.... you need it for an engine that revs to 7200rpm.

As usual the Navy has made sure I was unable to do something I had planned. My entire house comes down with the flu so I have no one to bring me... planed to ride the train to go get the car. Well the Navy made sure they kept me employed until 4:45pm... its a 15min drive from work to my house, and then another 15-20min to the train station. So I have to wait till tomorrow (Thursday) to go pick her up... and its killing me.

I am home safely with my new baby. I was pretty upset this morning though. Last night on the way home I took that horrid braw off at the first stop we made. There was a lot of dirt and junk under it. Well this morning I went out and washed off the dirt and grime. Well there are 2 spots about 1/8th of an inch where the pain got rubbed/worn off. So I may go and look for some touch up paint.

Other than that she is an absolute beast. I didn't get to play too much last night as the notorious valley fog rolled in and things got slow. I did have fun playing around with some fool in a Focus though. I think I hurt his feelings. B)

Not surprising, Bras are a bad idea if you plan to leave them on the car. If used just for trasnport they can be used but I still would never use one. That paint is probably faded less than the rest of the car as well I bet. I say this because we are building a yellow '95 right now and you would be surprised how much that paint will fade.

WHAT?!? Side exhaust "rots out the rear rims"?!? That is the most laughable thing I have ever heard!!!! I guess all those '60's corvettes have some "secret" that nobody knows about to preserve their rims! Seriously...think about the sheer lunacy of that statement!

Side exhaust won't do anything but increase the noise to the passenger compartment and occasionally let fumes in when the windows are down.

As far as rims, Lightning owners had a problem in the early years with clearcoat peeling off the wheels and it had NOTHING to do with the side exhaust either.

I've been around cars a long time and lots of them and the ONLY thing that will "rot out" a rim is from it sitting in a field sunk in the wet dirt for years!
wow, well that makes me feel better, i was told thats why chevrolet stopped putting the exhaust in front of the rims on its trucks. Hmm, that must be one of those dont believe everything you hear things, thanks for the correction!

Once the weather gets better here in the valley I will get some better pictures of her. Since this base in in the middle of farm country we have a HUGE bug problem. Gnats seem to love my car... A LOT!!! Once I washed her off I found out there there are a lot of very small rock dings here and there. Glad I ordered the touch up paint from the Ford dealer... I'm going to need it. Thank you for the congrats everyone.
