Motorcraft sparkplugs for my 99 GT?

My '99 GT is still running strong but I have 97K+ and would like to do a quick tune-up by changing the plugs.

I only want Ford Motorcraft plugs! What plugs came with the '99 GT (4.6L V8)?
I now confused with Platinum & Iridium plugs...I think Motorcraft offers both.
Whats the difference between the regular original type plugs, the Platinum plugs and the Iridium?

Can you provide me w/the Motorcraft part#s.

Thanks in advance,

Motorcraft only makes copper and platinum that got those engines. Platinum is what came in it. I would recommend that or do like i did and step up to NGK iridium IX. They have a hotter spark that burns fuel more completely and efficiently.

Would like more responses/feedback on plugs.

Guys,

I would like some more feedback on SPARKPLUGS.
What's the difference between platinum & iridium?
Why NGK vs. Motorcraft?

Thanks in advance.

Iridium is a very very rare metal that does not occur naturally on this planet. It has an extremely high melting point and conducts electricity better than almost any other metal. Ford motor craft plugs are basically just stock replacement with loose tolerances on how they are built. NGK's are manufactured in Japan in smaller quantitys with very tight tolerances in their build quality.

There really is no difference between iridium or platinum they are both good for up to 100,000 miles I would go with motorcraft cause they make them specific to ford ngk is made for many applications. I would stick with oem on this one
