Next time try to make your post a little more clear... I am not sure if an actual mach 1 shaker hood scoop will mount on to your 2v, but I know that companies such as Classic Designs Inc. make kits to fit the 2v's.

I could be wrong, but I do not believe that the CDC kit will work with a factory Mach 1 hood, shaker scoop, and a 2V motor. I think it only works with their shaker system, which requires cutting out the stock GT hood. As far as I know, Kar Kraft is the only vendor that offers a kit that allows for the use of a factory Mach 1 shaker scoop and hood mounted to a GT 2V motor. You may want to check this link out. http://www.karkraft.com/new_page_7.htm

I used the Kar Kraft kit. I already had a factory hood and shaker. I was able to buy just the brackets from Kar Kraft. It bolted up in minutes. Good luck.

This may be a little off topic but how much horsepower and torque would you gain on a 2v with the shaker? Are there any sites our dyno tests for it?

If I remember correctly, which is rarely, it doesn't do that much. Maybe 1-3 ponies tops.

Thats it For almost eight hundred bucks. Doesn't seem worth the money to me. You could go a more aggressive exhaust, or performance cams, or emaybe better heads (if you find a good price) for $800. I thought it would add 20 to 25 hp.

On the other hand the shaker system is the coolest looking upgrade for your car.

Isn't there a system out there though that will make the stock hoodscoop funtional? I thought I remebered reading something about that.

yeah, it doesnt add much that you can actually judge. it helps at high speed. which you cant measure on the dyno. but it definitely adds to the looks dept.
