I want to buy the Mach 1 "chin" spoiler that attaches to the front bumper (near fog lights) Where is the cheapest place to get an official ford part. Should I get one from the dealership or internet. thanks

You can probably save $10 plus sales tax if you buy from an aftermarket as opposed to a dealer. But with the dealer there are no shipping charges. So take your pick.

I got mine from there, it fits perfect, not sure what the difference is between the ford direct one, if there is one, or even the price is different too.

shipping is free if you spend over $50.

hope this helps

Got mine there as well (mustangtuning.com). Actually 2 of them. First one was almost a year old when I scraped it on a parking lot curb :bang: so I ordered another from the same place. No problems. They're out of stock a lot, though. Pretty sure the Ford logo is stamped in the plastic on the part that you don't see.

Thanks gentlemen. I am going to see how much I can get it at the dealer because I will not have to pay for shipping. The website that you referred me to is about the same price, I assume, as the Ford dealer. Anyone know where i can get a chin spoiler for around 40? thanks.

You will never find a chin spoiler for $40 unless it is used. Dealer cost on those is around $48.

This isn't a set of aluminum heads, you've wasted more than $10 worth of your time trying to get something for nothing.....pick your battles and search more on higher ticket items to save $$$ The price at Mustangtuning is a great deal if they pay shipping and you won't likely find it cheaper unless you work at Ford and get an employee discount and then you still have to pay tax at the dealer.

I agree, considering these chin spoilers go for around 70 at Ford. My only concern is that fordtunning talks about wrapping the chin spoiler to ship and then the customer allowing a day for it to unfold to its original position. thanks

It's plastic and it's very flexible....I made one work on a Thunderbird and it required "tweaking"....it's a very durable piece.

Mine came rolled, but not bent and it was a year a go this month, and I installed it in the snow last year (couldn't wait for it to get warm!!!) . Froze my hiney off but nothing was wrong with the spoiler.

it still looks great especially combined with the Mach 1 Grille Delete.

Just my .02

Both of mine came folded. Let it sit for an hour - maybe. No problem. See pics.

Very nice. But does ford tunning sell the original ford part such as the one that is on the Mach, or is it an after market part??

Trust me, it is more than likely a Ford part.....for what it costs it is not worth tooling up to reproduce it as it would cost far more than the Ford part to duplicate it.

You're better off just going to the dealership and ordering it straight from there. No shipping charge.

I got mine for $20... it was used, but only for 6 months
