I have a buddy that just bought a triple black conv. It is pretty sweet! I am looking to get some info on it though. Which gears, springs, radio, etc. All it says is the Mach Sound System. He has owned a 01 Cobra with the Mach 460. This blows it out of the water though! I looked in the trunk and it has no sub. I think it has 3.55 gears, he said they might even be 3.73s. It was a 1-owner car and the previous owner did absolutely nothing to it. It’s bone stock! I thought y’all might know where I could go to find out about it! I printed off what was in the Timeline Section on this site, 1st! Thanks and see ya!!

 

Its not a 10th ann if its triple black....just a regular 03 cobra vert. 10th Ann. has the red/black interior.

 

Yeah, as soon as I sent that I thought to myself that was probably wrong! It has the inserts!!

 

03's had 3.55 gears

 

General Info:
For 2003, SVT offered a limited-edition 10th Anniversary Cobra which featured unique color schemes, wheels, and badging. SVT produced 2,003 units of the Tenth Anniversary model, which was available in Red, Black, and Silver. The 10th Anniversary Package was offered in both coupe and convertible, featured unique wheels, red leather interior accents (seats/door panels), "carbon fiber-look" interior trim , red brake calipers, and SVT 10th Anniversary badges on the floor mats and rear decklid.

 

Does anyone know about what springs is has? It stance already looks pretty dang good, I think. So, I guessed right on the gears! That was a lucky guess!!! Thanks!!

 

Oh yeah, 1 thing I thought wrong about was on the seat inserts! I just guessed they too were suede, since the other Cobras where! Also on the door panels, it is like a flat paint kind of. I thought it was shinier. See ya!!

I saw somewhere it was the Mach 460 Audio System. Maybe it sounded louder because I was in a good mood because I was in it!

 

Also, make sure you don't buy from Build 1, there were some problems with those, can't remember exactly but it was enough to make me not want to buy one from that build. If you buy any 04, or any 03 aniv ed., you're fine.

I'll find out what the problem was, buddy of mine told me about it when I told him I'm looking into buying one next year.

 

DD713, I'm not sure what you meant at all. Sorry, I'm kinda slow!!! What does Build 1 mean? Is that maybe a member on here? He bought it from Grand Prairie Ford in the great state of Texas. Sorry, I am not following ya!! It's a 03 10th Anniversary Cobra, I know for sure now. I hauls ***, compared to my 95 GT Conv that is!

 

Build 1 means the first round of cars that were built. Ususally in a 08 model year GT, build 1 comes out mid-late 07. Same with the cobras of back then.

If you get a 10 aniv ed. you'll have no problems with what happened in Build 1.

 

the 03-04 cobras had a problem with one of the heads on the car, believe it was the driver side. It would be easy to find out, just fire it up and listen. Search youtube for vids showing it. And it wasnt the first round of cars that had that problem, it was all of them. Most people had the new style head installed under warranty.
