You do realize that water/meth injection is used as a intercooler substitute in BOOSTED (i.e. turbo/supercharged) applications. It wouldnt help a n/a fairly stock 4.6L at all.

 

my father used it in his old buick and it helped a ton and it was NA, i believe it had a 350 in it and he beat a guy with a 455, but i will have to ask him.

How dangerous is that stuff to use. I think if I had the money I would move up to a supercharger, I just don't know what kind! The chip will do me for now though. Thanks for all of the advice guys! :worship:

You're learning

But this won't give him more than a good chip would on a stock application....his money is better spent on a good custom chip...he will see more gains there than he would with a methanol injection kit.

 

yes, a good chip in addition to a methanol kit were my thoughts, and a custom chip will do loads of goodness for a stock mustang

 

Can you provide examples or facts? I am curious to see if it would help a stock 4.6L mustang. If it will then cool.

 

i didnt mean a custom methanol kit i meant a custom chip, i will find some stuff about the methanol kit if u desire, i am looking now.....

 

Ok cool. Im very aware of what a chip can do, but I want to see what a meth kit will do for a stock 4.6L before and after gains if possible.

 

its used even with an intercooler and on NA applications, the Methanol is injected by the TB like a nitrous kit from what i understand and it cool sthe intake charge while adding extra fuel to the motor

EDIT- I am gonna check into the NA gains ASAP
