Installing Bullit pedal covers
I just installed Bullit pedal covers in my 96 Cobra and I thought I would share some tips. I submerged the clutch and brake pedal covers in very hot soapy water for a few minutes. This will make the rubber pliable and the soap will lubricate the rubber so that it becomes very easy to slip on the pedal with some coaxing. Once they cool down, the rubber shrinks to its original form and they are SNUG.
For the gas pedal, I took the whole gas pedal assembly out by removing the cable from the top of the pedal arm and then loosening the two 13mm bolts that hold the assembly to the firewall. I took the pedal to the bench and used a punch to drive out the pin that holds the pedal cover to the pedal. That took several whacks and a few choice words. I put the new pedal cover in and drove the pin back home, which required several more whacks.
Total time was around 30 minutes, and most of that was spent dealing with the gas pedal routine.

I'll post some when I get home. The best thing about the project is that they were free. A friend bought them for his Stang and he figured he was not mechanically inclined enough to put them in his car. He just gave them to me.
