I don't care if he has a 'billion' dollars of mods in it. With the Cobra's being such beasts I think it's cool to see a N/A 4V run like that. Though the FR500 intake and heads are expensive (the FRPP cams are relatively cheap considering they come with valves and springs) one could get similiar gains with a good port polish of their heads/intake. (Though there is still cost involved with that, and there would be no "variable geometry" in a stock intake.)

No, he wasn't running Nitrous. He actually just got it tuned with a 75 & 150 shot. Amazing numbers were obtained.

Thats really cool but it seems like the N/A car is lacking midrange torque.

I always wanted to build a N/A monster but seeing that i'm poor thats not going to happen. lol

I agree Chris. Although he compensated for said 'lack' with 4.56 gears. I'd like to get my hands on the '00 R cams specs, or the Aussie Boss 290 cam specs. Those cams might aid in the tq department. If I take the N/A build in the future I may look into that further.

what bottom end do they use on the Aussie Boss 290? is it the same as cobra R uses?

A 5.4 or a 6.0(sean hyland) would definnatly help the torque situation.

I think it's a Navigator block used in the Aussie V8.

Is that a Mach 1 that beat the cobra? Good kill! I love seeing NA 4Vs in action, they are BEASTS

fang motorsports has a SN197 that runs 11.5's and it's N/A... I think it was 11.5's, could be more, or LESS!
