How durable are the trannys?

Hi,

I am haveing a heck of a time trying to back in my driveway from the sleet/snow we had last night. I am at the point to where i'm going to pull out and try to come in forward if i can get out. I'm not stuck its just slushy snow cuz its melting. I've spent nearly 1.5 hrs trying to rock it back in. I've had about 5 people ask me if i needed help to "Get in my Driveway," grr.. one cop drove by almost laughing. The worst part is I was already in the driveway but i stopped to straighten up where i was going and that was it. My question is above, How durable are these trannys?" with doing all this rocking back and forth. I have a 04 gt 5spd.

Sorry for the legnth of this.

Yeah as long as you arent slipping hte clutch and burning it up, the tranny should be fine.

In the future, you can use rubber/vinyl floormats under the tires for extra traction, or pour lots of sand. When I was in NJ, we had one of those stupid driveways as well and my RWD cars sometimes had trouble going up the driveway. I found that if you start with enough velocity, you can just let the car coast up the ramp and straighten it out later.
