Honeycomb Grille Question
#1
I'm wondeing if any aftermarket company sells a 99-04 honeycomb grille without the space for the pony.
My other alternatives are using a 2nd grille to fill in the gap left by the pony. I know the F150s have the honeycomb, would it be easier to borrow something like that? The only problem I see is the F150s have a bulge in their grille.
Or should I try the old school, go to Home Depot or Lowes and try to find some fence-like material and spray paint black, and use that as an entire grille.
You may ask why do you want a honeycomb grille w/o pony, the answer is I wanna use a different style pony without going resorting to the common Mach1 grill delete kit.

I'm looking for originality....there are close to 1million 99-04s, and how many "don't" have the grille delete? How many don't have a mach1 chin spoiler? How many don't have Cobra clone parts? How many don't have smoked headlights? How many don't have bullitts?
I like all of those ideas, but it's real easy to copy a blueprint that has been done a 1/2million times over, but it's harder to find something original.
That was my attempt....but it seems that some of my ideas aren't working already. Agreed, I don't like the way the Ford Honeycomb looks, and knew I can't use that anyways. Because I'd be pasting plastic together. It'd look like a school science project. That's why it was my Ghetto-chop.
There's a company that does the Honeycomb more in the 05 style, which looks better, the pony is still in the middle, but with out the corral. Either way the Honeycomb will be "Black"......"Black-Black" not the faded look of the stock.
Here's a pic....just don't have da skillz to photoshop it.

Your first chop, with the offset pony, was something I was also thinking of doing. Sort of a '65-'66 Shelby look. It would look killer on an '05+ car, but now I'm not so sure on the SN-95. It looks OK, but maybe not as good as I had envisioned. I guess the grill's not quite wide enough to pull it off.

I was aiming more towards a 69-70 look...more 69 as their wasn't a GT in 70.
Still think the pony without the corral looks good. However the straight Shelby and 69-70 "look" seems to be marginal. Of course my ghetto-shop skills aren't that great either.
