The 01s were way overrated on their hp numbers, and production was stopped on them, so to have one is kind of rare.

There is no mistake about the 03 and 04, they just didn't get rebates, so they will hold their value better than the standard GTs and the Mach 1s, since those cars all did have rebates...
Sorry but you are incorrect. The 1999 cobra was the first cobra with the tumble port heads/intake in which was underpowered according to the 320hp rating they gave them. Ford did a recall of all of these cars and performed the "Fix" which included a ECU reflash and updated intake. Now these cars are as strong or most of the time stronger than the 01 counter part. Neither car is rare, as they completed the full run of intended cobra's.

Also, bullitts while an awesome car, are not the only ford to hold their value. I can think of quite a few stangs throughout the years which will hold their value as well if not more than a bullitt.

But what do I know, I drive a worthless mystic cobra that has no value

Not to mention the Bullitt is the last yeah that ANY mustangs will hold their value. Everything since, including the Mach 1s all had rebates and thusly comand no resale value WHATSOEVER...
You're entitled to your opinion about the Bullitt. However, get your facts straight. There WAS a factory rebate offered on the Bullitt in July 2001 ($1500) when I bought mine. They weren't selling quick enough!

Mach 1s are nothing compared to the Bullitt. They are gaudy, rakish and overdone. If anything is to be said about the 05, it is that the design is clean, un-obstructed and not at all gaudy. Who designed the 05? Thai-Tang. What was his first design? The Bullitt.
Hau Thai-Tang was involved in engineering aspects of the car. Scott Hoag was the program manager who oversaw the customization that led to the production Bullitt. Doug Gaffka was one of the lead designers on the SN-95 refreshening in 1999, which formed the style basis for the Bullitt.

I am not sure how the shaker scoop, a signature cue from past Mustangs, is overdone. The Bullitt does not have rear wing and the side scoops are smoother as compared to the Mach. Style-wise, they seem to be closer than farther apart.

Each has their place, and each is a great car.

Yeah and I got some ocean front property in Arkansas to sell real cheap.
Anyone who thinks that any late model Mustang will be worth very much in twenty years is dreaming. Even I know that.

Mach 1s if not made as a S197 will be worth money in 30 years, lots of money. The 03-04 cobras will hold some value and the Bullit will hold some value too. The 99 S351 is worth big bucks and will always be as the only 99-04 style S-351 made.

JUST TO ADD TO THE CONFUSION...I SOLD NEW FORDS FOR 4 YEARS, AND WAS SELLING WHEN THE BULLITS FIRST CAME OUT. I AM WELL AWARE THAT BULLITS WERE NOT SUPPOSSED TO COME WITH A REAR WING, HOWEVER WE RECEIVED TWO BLACK ONES WITHIN ABOUT A WEEK OF EACH OTHER. ONE HAD A WING FROM THE FACTORY. MUST HAVE BEEN SOME SORT OF GOOF. YOU CAN IMAGINE THAT IT MADE FOR SOME INTERESTING CONVERSATION WITH THOSE WHO ACTUALLY KNEW WHAT THEY WERE LOOKING AT. MOST THOUGHT THE DEALERSHIP INSTALLED IT. HAS ANYONE ELSE SEEN ANOTHER LIKE THIS?

My Bullitt (#2371) was a goof too. It came from the factory with the GT side scoops, instead of the Bullitt scooplets (least that's what Bullitt owners called them). The factory gave me new Bullitt scooplets, which they painted True Blue to match. However, I like the GT scoops and left them on. Lots of other Bullitt owners liked them too. Initially most would tell me that they were thinking about getting the GT scoops, thinking I had replaced them on my own.

SAW A LOT OF WEIRD THINGS DURING MY TIME ON THE LOT. MOSTLY MINOR THINGS LIKE MISSING OR INCORRECT EMBLEMS. WE HAD A MACH WITHOUT CHIN SPOILER ONCE. I BELEIVE IT WAS ONE OF THE LAST ONES THAT CAME IN. I GUESS WHEN YOU ARE MAKING THAT MANY CARS WITH THOUSANDS OF PARTS, THERE IS BOUND TO BE A GOOF EVERY NOW AND THEN.

You got the wrong year for the HP mistake. The 99 Cobra was the one that came up short on the HP. They recalled them and made mods to get them up to the published HP. That is why there is not a 2000 Cobra. After modding the 99s, there was no time to get ready for 2000. The 2001 is the product of the mods made to the 99. Because of the mistake with the 99, Ford new they needed to hit a home run with the Cobra so, they focused SVT again, skipped 2002 and brought us the 03/04 version.
