Hey Bullitt dudes
On all the Bullitt pictures I've seen so far, I notice that the exhaust tips look like rolled steel ones, unlike all the other stock ones I've seen on the current Mustangs. Is this an aftermarket conversion in these pictures, or was that a special thing just for those cars, or am I seeing things?

yah, I think the Bulllit was the best SE for the buck before 03, Ford did a nice job. Congrats to all you owners!

I beg to differ. see sig. The one who started the SE trend.
I like the Bulllits styling and rarity better. I also LOVE the blue Bullits. The 35th was nice, but Ford really went to town when they got the Bullit. I guess the 35th did start the new SE trend. I like the SE trend. I hope it stays.
well I wish I had done more research on this whole Mustang thing, but I can't complain too much, because my '04 40th SE was sitting on the lot for over 180 days, and they slashed the price big-time. I didn't see any Mach 1's there, I guess they had liquidated their stock in anticipation of the '05's coming out.
P.S. is MRT the full name of that company, or does it stand for something else?

I owned a Bullitt (True Blue #2371) until Ford bought it back for having excessive piston slap. I then bought an 03 Mach1 (DSG) 5spd, which I had until last weekend, when I traded it in for my 05 Mustang GT. I liked the Bullitt, but I liked the Mach1 much more.
If the new generation of stang wasn't so sharp looking, I'd still have the Mach1.

Mach 1s are nothing compared to the Bullitt. They are gaudy, rakish and overdone. If anything is to be said about the 05, it is that the design is clean, un-obstructed and not at all gaudy. Who designed the 05? Thai-Tang. What was his first design? The Bullitt. The Bullitt is just a reduced form, cleaned up SN95. I think of it as a much more badhiney LX version.
The reduced right height, lower exhaust tone, no fogs, no spoiler, better desgined C-Pillar and rocker moldings... The list goes on and on. The Bullitt is a true sleeper. Non-assuming, non-attention getting... Not to mention the interior started this whole retro craze within ford.

Paint your 05 DHG and put a Shinoda chin spoiler on it with some 18 inch black chrome bullits, lol, it would be a new/old Bullit
Not to mention the Bullitt is the last yeah that ANY mustangs will hold their value. Everything since, including the Mach 1s all had rebates and thusly comand no resale value WHATSOEVER... They guy I bought my Bullitt from worked for Team Mustang from 03 through 05 and has driven all of them, including hundreds of 05s. He said it was common knowledge within Ford to ****** up the Bullitts because they will be the only ones worth anything. He said the same thing about the 01 Cobras because of the mistake, the 03 Cobras and the 04 Cobras. Every other Mustang is just a car and will fall below 10 grand in the worth category becuase it will never be proven whether you paid sticker for it or not. Which you probably wouldn't have.
The 01s were way overrated on their hp numbers, and production was stopped on them, so to have one is kind of rare.
There is no mistake about the 03 and 04, they just didn't get rebates, so they will hold their value better than the standard GTs and the Mach 1s, since those cars all did have rebates...
