Got some staggered saleens

I just picked up a set of staggered Saleen wheels for my 95 GT. my brother in my club said I need 295/35/18 for the 18x10 rear wheels.

Will they rub against the fender wall in towards the car? Is my question.
And what size tires should I get for the 18x9 in the front??

No they won't rub. You can fit up to a 315 tire on the rears. I have 315/35or40/17 in the rear and 275/40/17 in the front with no rubbing issues. 275 is the biggest/best size for a 9in wheel. they both fill the wheel wells very nice

Not 100% positive about yours (since you have a '95), but I had to have mine rolled (2004 Mach 1) with 18x10-295/35/18.

Both my 99 and 95 had no rubbing problems, and the 99 in lowered 2in with sportlines. But Nittos do run a little smaller

Now granted, mine are 17s but they measure 25.7x12.4(315/35/17) whereas the 18s measure 26.1x11.61(295/35/18).

The wheels wells on the SN95s aren't as contorted as the new edges. IME you wouldn't need to roll even if lowered, but if you do it would be a minimal amount.

Okay got my front tires (NEXEN N3000)

Just need the rear ones.
I'm looking at the NITTO NT05R, NITTO INVO, and the BFG G Force TA KDW.

I'm skeptical in the NT05R because guys have said they wear down too quickly because they're soft

Does anyone have any two cents on my rear tire dilemma?

Why are you getting different brand tires for the rear (unless you go with a drag radial)?

I didn't do research on the widest n3000 that I could find would be a 275
I need a 295. I wouldn't mind drag radials but I just want like a life duration graph type of thing. Know what I mean

Any slick type tire (nt05r included) are going to have a shorter life span. The compound is softer to make them a stickier tire. I would recommend the nt555s all around personally. Very good tire with good grip and a pretty decent life expectancy.

Go with the street version.... NT05. My rear are 285/35/18. Daily driver. Way better than the nt555.
