Monday I'm going to pick up a 2003 DSG Cobra. Im so excited, I can hardly wait. It has a Bassani exhaust, front and rear radar detectors. The dealer said a "new air intake" and a "system". So Ill ask about that tomorrow. Anyway, anyone have any similar experience? I went from a '95 V6 in March of 02, a 99GT in Feb of 03, and an 03 Cobra in July of 04. I seem to be a little obsessed. Feelings, warnings, any comments welcome. This should help spark a debate........I'm 19, but no, my parents pay for nothing. My black 99 is still for sale too..............

Congrats! Cobra + 19 year old = try not to wrap it around a pole

I sure hope you've checked your insurance.

BTW, I want your paper route.

My 99GT, I'm hoping around 13000, and the cobra is gonna be about 27000 after tax, tags, and all that good stuff. PM me if you want to talk about the GT. And I will surely post some pics of the cobra as soon as I can. It's a 3 hr drive there, so my friend with his riced out cavalier is driving me to new york. should be a fun drive home though

Best advice I can offer is use dicipline and self restraint. Don't feel you have to prove what the car can do to everyone that looks and admires your car.
Congrats and enjoy.

Heres the only pic I have until monday. And I've been pretty good with my GT, although I took a lot of crap for it not being a "real" Roush. I've got nothing to prove. But it will be very very tempting

And you can all ask Rob about it after the Fords at the Mall car show here in NEPA. I'll be there.

Nope, I haven't been there since ~99-00. My Saleen did make it in MM&FF that year.

Might want to try state farm. Usually great for young drivers.

Congrats on the cars!

Also, since you're entering the armed forces -- go USAA.

I've had them for the last 15 years, and they've been great. The Air Force wouldn't take me (medical dq - migraines), but I was a dependant of a life-long AF man (in other words, my dad). That was my ticket in.

Can't hurt to check them out. They also have my house and life insurance.

Yes, Jeff stole my words. As you prolly know I work at Farmers Insurance and let me tell you, do not, repeat do not go with geico or progressive. This year on customer service geico was 17th and progressive was 37th out of 40!

Since the armed forces, USAA (State Farm) is freakin' unbelievable...they do great jobs with their people!

PearBear,

I'm in PA as well, a few towns away from Rob. Can I ask what dealer did you buy this car from? I need to find a good SVT dealer for the future.

Oh and Congrats! B)
